Think Tank Photo announces the release of Hydrophobia™ 300 - 600, the first rain cover specifically designed to be pre-mounted for quick deployment. If it appears that it may rain, photographers attach the Hydrophobia over their lens before going out into the field, rolling it up tight and out of the way. Then, when weather threatens, they simply unroll the rain cover over the rest of the lens and body, securely protecting both. The rain cover fits onto a 300 f2.8, 400 f2.8, 500 f4, and 600 f4, making it ideally suited for sports and nature photographers.
There is a special pocket to hold they eyepiece (shown on the right). Take the camera’s eyepiece off and exchange it with the Hydrophobia eyepiece.
Four eyepieces will be available that fit Canon and Nikon SLRs, including the Canon Mark III and the pro-size Nikon SLRs with the screw-in eyepiece.
To deploy the rain cover, loosen the red bungee cord and roll the cover back over the lens and camera.
Pull the hole in the back of the cover around the eyepiece.
The back is made from a clear PU material that allows the LCD and controls to be visible.
Memory cards and batteries can be changed without taking the cover off.
The top also uses a clear PU material that allows all of the controls to be visible.
The SLR can be turned vertically in either direction for vertical shots.
Teleconverters can be changed by unzipping the back..
The extension piece supplied allows it to become longer for use with a 600 f4 lens.
It comes with a special mesh pouch for storage when not in use.
MSRP: U$ 150.00 (Rain cover only)
Eyepieces: U$ 35.00
