Incredibly close to being the perfect shoulder/cross-body camera bag
It's an excellent size in terms of camera gear, and the magnetic top works brilliantly and is extremely fun. It's also very impressive that the handle carries the bag well and doesn't cause inadvertent opening of the top. The water bottle pockets could maybe be a little bigger, but they work well for the width of bottle you might put in a bike bottle cage. It's super frustrating how many bags ignore the need for bottle pockets, especially in the current era of sling-style bags. My only substantial complaint is the shoulder strap. It's good but not great, and the padding is sufficient if you are filling the bag about half full. If the bag is 3/4 of the way loaded out or more, then it should have a wider strap with denser padding. Making it removable would also help as then we could swap in a beefier strap more easily. Less critical but it feels like kind of a gimme to include in a later iteration of the bag: if it was trivially larger (like probably even half an inch on either end) it would be easy to add a proper sleeve pocket for a normal size iPad. As it is, an iPad actually does fit in the accessory area toward the front, but it kind of prevents using the pockets there for anything else, and blocks the magnetic closure there.
No Tripod Straps???
Great bag execution, but lack of tripod straps and external attachment points at bottom is a huge oversight in my opinion. Might have to return due to this but otherwise so cool might keep...hard to say
A smart, super unique bag with one big flaw
This bag is wonderful at what it does, namely allowing fast access via its magnetic lid. Excellent design! In my opinion, it's one of the smartest bags Think Tank has ever made, and I've had a few over the years. My one criticism is the non-removable shoulder strap- if using this as a belt-mounted bag, the strap is unavoidably in the way, either dangling, or stuffed into one of the exterior side pockets awkwardly. Since I'll be using this as a belt bag, I'm thinking of cutting the strap off completely, which isn't exactly ideal either obviously, but might be my best option. A removable strap would make this a perfect bag!
Best shoulder bag I ever owned.
I have been waiting for a shoulder bag that does not make noise by pulling hard on a velcro flap to open it and that has a lid that opens away from your body—this is it! Magnets that keep the lid closed and are silent when opened away from my hip.
Perfect Bag for limited gear during travel.
This was the perfect bag for a limited amount of gear on a recent overseas trip. Along with the speed belt, the set up allowed for easy access and security at the same time. A great bag.
